Dallas Transition Academy Social Club Winter Session 2024

The Dallas Transition Academy Social Club Winter Session 2024 will last 10 weeks from 1/9 - 3/14, focusing on Module 2 - Workplace Readiness. Due to limited availability, each session will consist of a maximum of 15 participants joining us for 2 hours twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at Misericordia University located at 301 Lake Street, Dallas, PA 18612. This program is designed to bring High School students and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21 with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, including Autism and Down Syndrome, together to socialize and develop lifelong skills.

The Transition Academy Social Club Program is an 11-month program consisting of three 10-week social and skill-building sessions designed to bring High School students and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21 with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, including Autism and Down Syndrome together to socialize and develop lifelong skills.: Self-Advocacy, Workplace Readiness, and Independent Living Skills.

This program is FREE, and each participant has the potential to earn $200.00 if all classes in the module are attended.
In addition, all participants will receive a FREE course kit containing all the necessary materials: supplies, games, activities, games, and a tee shirt. FREE transportation is also available for scheduling if needed. Spaces are limited and first come, first served, with up to 15 participants per location.
